“BEIJING — The dramatic ascendance of Usain Bolt as the world’s greatest sprinter continued Wednesday night at the Beijing Olympics as he left another group of elite runners far behind in setting a world record in the 200 meters and winning his second gold medal. “For the Launch in Jakarta, Indonesia, designer/graffiti artist Darbotz has been given a chance to make an installation based on Flywire Technology.

Nike Flywire Technology is a lightweight support system. It shaves off weight and adding strength, it allows athletes to be lighter on their feet and faster on the court.

The Artists Own Words: ‘…The Flywire concept inspires me to create an installation about the flowing movement of the shoes. The explosion shows the strength of the shoes, and their lightness is represented by feelings of blaze, brightness, luminescence, radiance, and emptiness. That has made it possible to express fathomless and fluid movement.’”

“Héctor Serrano Studio designed this installation called Waterdrop for Roca. Hundreds of sticks with a light on top, can move up and down. Together they can mimic a water surface. This effect was achieved by attaching those sticks to a flexible platter. In that way, the movement is very organic, water like.
